Temporary Physics Lecturer Position for Fall 2008
The Department of Chemistry and Geology at Columbus State University invites applications for a visiting position to begin in August 2008. The appointment will be for one year with the possibility of renewal. The position will have a primary focus on introductory physics, with possible responsibility in physical science courses. A Masters Degree in physics or a related field is required; a Ph.D in related fields is strongly preferred. Applicant must be able to satisfy SACS accreditation requirements The successful candidate will have effective written and oral English communication skills, interpersonal relationship skills, capability for excellence in teaching and basic knowledge of computer technology. Teaching experience is a plus. The person in this position will be expected to teach twelve to fourteen contact hours of courses per semester, including laboratory sections.
